You can shut up all winter, and probably not even remember what the outside looks. Here's a crazy idea - what if you were out there in May to celebrate the arrival of spring and the warmth of a 10k race? Yes, it sounds crazy, especially when you consider that you have never done anything for running the department rather than, say, an occasional right around the park. The point is that it can be really motivating to shoot something. It certainly can be done if the course consists of a thin sound. If you can rope a friend of mine, and she started training, I might cheer each other and really do it. And here is another thing that may cheer you - training hard, as you must complete a 10K race really gives you a drug-like momentum. This is real, it's good. And in the end, it boasts a number likely to be much better (if you grow it).
